Janine Jones-Clark transitioned into Talent Development & Diversity when she joined Disney | ABC Television Group (DATG) in 2007. After staffing writers and directors as a current programming executive, Jones-Clark developed a passion for identifying and developing up-and-coming talent, specifically individuals with multi-cultural backgrounds and intriguing life experiences. As Executive Director, Creative Talent Development & Inclusion she leads both the Disney | ABC Writing Program and the Disney | ABC Directing Program, two of the few programs of their kind sanctioned by the Writers Guild of America, West and the Directors Guild of America, respectively. After proposing a redesign for the long-time directing program in 2010, Jones-Clark helped in securing an unprecedented number of directing assignments on series such as ABC’s Desperate Housewives, Grey’s Anatomy and Private Practice, ABC Family’s Pretty Little Liars and The Fosters and Disney Channel’s Shake It Up and Jessie.

Jones-Clark’s additional responsibilities include; collaborating with network and studio executives across all DATG business units on staffing of diverse writers and directors; overseeing the National Latino Media Council/National Hispanic Media Coalition’s (NLMC/NHMC) Latino Television Writers Program; and creating departmental marketing, branding and communications strategies.

Jones-Clark’s varied television background includes careers in current programming, scripted and unscripted development, production and publicity. She spent several years at The WB Television Network where she served as Vice President of Primetime Publicity prior to her transition into Current Programming. She led defining publicity campaigns for series such as Dawson’s Creek, Buffy the Vampire Slayer, 7th Heaven and Felicity. As Vice President of Current Programming, she oversaw creative production on series such as Felicity, Sabrina the Teenage Witch and The Jamie Foxx Show. Prior to joining The WB, Jones-Clark held publicity executive positions at NBC and Fox.

A native of Los Angeles, Jones-Clark graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Mass Communications-Journalism and a minor in Sociology from the University of California, Berkeley.
